TGI Friday

Thanks to James for dinner tonight. It is my first time in TGI Friday, since restaurant has been given me some "high-class" impression. It is not as what I’ve thought of as we pay the bill. It is having priced same as Chilis. Now I remember that I was having Chilis on other’s treat too during my industrial training.

Well, 9 of us included James, Leonard, Yong Ming, Lee Wooi, Shiau Yen, Guat Lee, Seng Han, Han Bang and myself sitting at a corner of the restaurant. Interior of the restaurant slightly dim with some guitar collection and rock feel. Waiters and waitresses greeted us and lead us to out reserved seats. Leonard claimed to be vegetarian on the day, gain some sympathy from us. This calamity guy always forgot about his vegetarian calendar. Man, you should have check the calendar earlier and request for postpone of the date. Well, he is being forced to look at 8 of us, enjoying our non-vegetarian meals in front of him, while he himself only allow with mushrooms, onions, celeries and broccolis.

I’ve ordered myself Jack Daniel’s Chicken and Shrimps. At first I would like to try on their steak, but can someone please tell me why there are so many different types of level of cooking for a steak. I don’t want to think if I want it to be how many percent cooked, making me feeling like taking out calculators from bag and start calculating what is the best answer it could be, so I went off with chicken. The result turned out to be nice one with that special Jack Daniel’s sauce. Leonard was right with the sauce, it’s nice to dip the broccolis with it. The flesh of chicken well cooked, still soft and smooth. Shrimps too, fried nicely and nice to taste a bite.

Shiau Yen was pity one last night, having her very belated birthday celebration. The story goes this way, when James asked who is having birthday this month or coming to be, then she having the fast response to raise up her hand and claim her birthday month. Well, I think James was not thinking of playing on this, but Leonard, maybe too free and have nothing to do since the vegetarian food is too limited in TGI Friday, so he called upon the waiter and told him that we’re celebrating birthday. Honestly, if I knew that birthday celebration is being celebrated this way, I will never accept any invitation to TGI Friday. After having meal, our waiter came with a slice of birthday cake to Shiau Yen. Poor Shiau Yen was being asked to stand on the chair and the waiters and waitresses all gathered beside our table, trying to announce this to all. They sang something that I really cannot catch, and they took the cake two adults away from Shiau Yen, asking her to blow the candle off, she made it!

The slice of birthday cake was nice, but we had some discussion on the bill, because we thought that they charged us for the birthday celebration. However the mist was cleared after explanation done.

Before this, I heard many saying that TGI Friday served bad service. I think they have improved since then, to make better reputation. However, I still like Chilis more, not knowing the reason. Anyhow, it is a good try and again thanks to James for paying up the bill. I guess you got a good focal right?

Debate Viva~~

Sometimes I really cannot believe that I'm so involved into debate. Recently I heard from my dear junior that they are being invited to participate in World Debate Competition organized by MMU, Malacca, I fell excited as if I’m the one who is being invited.

I never have been a couch or someone working hard at the background. All the while, I’ve been playing role as a debater who stand on the stage, facing the audience and judges. Everyone knows my name when they watched the show. Always after the great competition, I abandon the team, stay no long there. Now, I’ve graduated, sometimes I did feel that I sacrificed much of my time to work on something not expected by my parents. I thought I hate it, since I’ve been quitting the team for twice. But now I know, I’m always proud to become a member of the debate world. There I gain back my confident, which I lose them all in my career.

Back to the World Debate Competition. While my juniors are excited to take part in the competition, I’ve contacted my couch, the main couch of our team, and agreed to help them on their journey. Although I’m here in Penang, but I’m quite excited on the preparation. Being a ditcher and let them die themselves previously, this time, being the first time, I’m all into the information searching my own automatically.

It’s been long since I left the world, and now I’m back. Everything starts refreshing my memory of the good old days. Tears, sweat, anger, disappointment… I hope that I've grown up and able to become their role model by providing great analysis and information seacher.
